Lover's Leap Falls drops about 30 m over granite ledges, a short walk through Pedro Tea Estate from Nuwara Eliya. Its stream comes off Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, and the fall supplies water to the town.

What you’ll walk through

The approach is on foot through the tea of Pedro Estate, about 5 km from Nuwara Eliya town, with paths leading to viewpoints near the base and near the top. It pairs naturally with a visit to the Pedro tea factory.

The granite ledges are slippery. Our main source for Lover's Leap is a single encyclopaedia entry, so treat the details as a guide.

Access & permits

We could not confirm any access rules or fee. The pool feeds the town water supply: do not swim or wash in it.
